The Home Building Association of Greater Portland will be seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals for the 2023 NW Natural Street of DreamsĀ®. The show dates are July 29 to August 20, 2023. Various positions are available.

This is a great opportunity for motivated people seeking summer employment. There are three different types of positions to apply for: Crew, Concession, and Show/Ticket Office. Information about each position is listed below.

Crew Position Description
Crew Members will assist with the daily operations of the NW Natural Street of Dreams. Responsibilities include general maintenance, event set up and tear down, and parking assistance. The days and hours will vary. Duties of the position are performed indoors and outdoors and may be performed in inclement weather conditions. Position may require frequent or continuous walking, standing and talking. May also require occasional sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, stooping, running, and heavy lifting/carrying.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be 16 years of age or older and have the ability to work mid-July through early September. Candidates must work well in a team environment, possess excellent verbal and written language skills and have outstanding customer service skills. Applicants should be willing to take direction but be capable of working independently and efficiently.


Ticket/Show Office Staff Description
This is a great opportunity for those seeking part-time summer employment. Ticket Office employee's responsibilities include money handling, ticket sales, customer service and accurate record keeping. Ticket Office employees may also be scheduled to work in the Show Office during the run of the show. Responsibilities in the Show Office include Will Call management, answering phones, support in crew management, administrative office work, and cleaning. The days and hours will vary. Duties of the position are performed indoors mainly, with the potential for outdoor tasks. Position may require frequent or continuous sitting, standing and talking. May also require occasional walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, stooping, running and heavy lifting/carrying.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work from late July through late August. Candidates must work well in a team environment, possess excellent verbal and written language skills and have outstanding customer service skills. Applicants should be willing to take direction but be capable of working independently and efficiently. Applicants with experience selling tickets or working in an office will be given preference.
