We are hiring for the 2019 NW Natural Street of Dreams® Stafford Meadows in Wilsonville

The Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals for the 2019 NW Natural Street of Dreams®. The 2019 show is located at Stafford Meadows, a development off SW Stafford Road and Boeckman Road in Wilsonville, Oregon. The show dates are July 27 to August 25; full and part time positions available. This is a great opportunity for motivated people seeking summer employment. There are three different types of positions to apply for: Crew, Concession, and Show/Ticket Office. Information about each position is listed below.

Crew Position Description
Crew Members will assist with the daily operations of the NW Natural Street of Dreams. Responsibilities include general maintenance, event set up and teardown, and parking assistance. The days and hours will vary. Duties of the position are performed indoors and outdoors and may be performed in inclement weather conditions. Position may require frequent or continuous walking, standing and talking. May also require occasional sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, stooping, running, and heavy lifting/carrying.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be 16 years of age or older and have the ability to work mid-July through early-September. Candidates must work well in a team environment, possess excellent verbal and written language skills and have outstanding customer service skills. Applicants should be willing to take direction but be capable of working independently and efficiently.


Concessions Staff Description
Crew Members will assist with the daily operations of the concessions or “Street Bistro” at NW Natural Street of Dreams. The Street Bistro is an outdoor restaurant on the show grounds and operates as such. Responsibilities include taking orders, operating a food tracking software, responsibility for a cashier till, food prep and expediting, general maintenance and cleaning of both back and front of house, stocking, unloading, and more. The days and hours will vary. Duties of the position are performed indoors and outdoors and may be performed in inclement weather conditions. Position may require frequent or continuous walking, standing and talking. May also require occasional sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, stooping, running, and heavy lifting/carrying.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be 18 years of age or older and have the ability to work late-July through late-August. Shifts within the concessions area require a food handler’s permit; an OLCC license is not required, but is a plus. Candidates must work have excellent customer service skills, work well in a team environment, possess excellent verbal and written language skills, and be willing to work quickly with a positive attitude. Applicants should be willing to take direction, but be capable of working independently and efficiently.


Ticket/Show Office Staff Description
This is a great opportunity for those seeking part time summer employment. Ticket Office employees responsibilities include money handling, ticket sales, customer service and accurate record keeping. Ticket Office employees may also be scheduled to work in the Show Office during the run of the show. Responsibilities in the Show Office include Will Call management, answering phones, support in crew management, administrative office work, and cleaning. The days and hours will vary. Duties of the position are performed indoors mainly, with the potential for outdoor tasks. Position may require frequent or continuous sitting, standing and talking. May also require occasional walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, stooping, running and heavy lifting/carrying.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work late-July through late-August. Candidates must work well in a team environment, possess excellent verbal and written language skills and have outstanding customer service skills. Applicants should be willing to take direction but be capable of working independently and efficiently. Applicants with experience selling tickets or working in an office will be given preference.
