About Street of Dreams™ and the HBA

The Street of Dreams™ is a treasured tradition in Oregon. More than 100,000 visitors attend the event each year. It began in 1976 as the premier luxury home show in the US. Over the years, more than 450 markets throughout the country have duplicated our success.

Whether you're looking for renovation ideas or the latest innovations in new home design, the program inspires homeowners and homebuyers by showcasing the work of the region's top builders, designers and landscapers.

Since 1942, the HBA has been an indispensable resource for consumers searching for affordable home options. The HBA proudly represents the housing industry to the government, media and the public.

The HBA produces and manages many outstanding programs and tours in the Portland area, including A Midsummer’s Night Dream, the black-tie gala that kicks off the Street of Dreams™. The event has raised more than $1.1 million for 74 charities since 1983. Since 1999, sales of Street of Dreams™ charity homes have provided more than $600,000 to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Providence Center for Medically Fragile Children.
